Business Growing Pains

What they are and how to deal with them…

  • You might be scaling up, bringing more people in to work with/for you, investing back into the company or developing an aspect of your business.

  • A lot like the growing pains you had when you were younger.

It can feel scary, uncomfortable and like something isn't quite right. But you're also excited about growing up and what's to come.

You'll need to look after yourself... think fresh air, bath and early to bed kind of thing.

  • Yep, it's terrifying and that's often the reason people give up at this point. It seems so huge and out of reach. Your imposter syndrome might be in overdrive.

It would be easier to runaway, get a job in a cafe, maybe a supermarket, right? ... RIGHT?

  • There isn't one way of managing or sailing through this process. You've got to take a deep breath and base decisions on data, listen to your gut and know that you can change your mind - you have the autonomy.

If something really doesn't feel right, don't do it. Or at least have a chat with someone who's been there before you.

  • Making mistakes is all part of it.

If you didn't make mistakes you wouldn't grow, adapt, learn and build a sustainable business with strong foundations.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Remember; everything is going to be ok. You don’t need to get a job in a cafe or the supermarket, you do need to reach out and ask for support. Even if that’s asking a pal to be a sounding board, and when I say sounding board I mean someone who doesn’t mind being there while you brain vomit all over them.

If your friend doesn’t fancy being brain-vomited all over, then you can get in touch with me and I’ll listen to your challenges, ideas and fears. I will then help you decipher them into actionable steps so you can turn that nervous energy into solid growth.

I offer two different 1:1 sessions:

  • This is where you talk at me for the initial session, tell me all of your hopes and dreams, the challenges you’re faced with and the things you’re putting off. Then I take that information, go away and turn it into bite sized chunks that you can follow to get you so much closer to your goals than you were when you started. We then have a quick follow up session, which is included in the price, to see how you’re getting on and whether that level of workload was appropriate for you. This is also a type of membership - the Wild+1 and Wild+2.

  • This does what it says on the tin.

This is for those at any stage of their business and can sometimes be all that you need to keep going.

We chat through your ideas, I help you problem solve and you leave feeling a lot lighter!

Both of these sessions are hosted on zoom.
