Tackling tricky conversations: a guide to navigating conflict in your business

Drawing on a decade’s worth of experience guiding clients through negotiations, former corporate lawyer turned brand photographer Meg Lovell will share her go-to strategies for tackling those awful “there’s an unexploded bomb in my inbox” moments we’ve all faced, helping you work through potential conflicts to achieve an outcome that suits you.

The workshop will cover:

  • managing those frustrating early moments when conflict arises

  • putting your desired outcomes and true values at the heart of your response

  • a step-by-step guide and tips for proactive boundary-setting to reduce future conflict points

Who it’s for:

Small business owners, freelancers, or anyone who’s ever had to tackle a tough conversation at work.

Please bring something to write with but no preparation required.

I’m Meg, a photographer and videographer based in Bristol, UK. I work with brands and creatives to capture naturally beautiful portraits, brand stories and product photography and videography that invites your audience to stop scrolling and delve deeper into your story.

Working with small businesses who have people at their core is where I am happiest- it is our skills, expertise, creativity and craftsmanship that sets our work apart, and I feel strongly about helping you communicate your value (and charge your worth).

My style is rich and textured, emphasising shadow and light. Helping you feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera is a huge part of what I do, and I love making shoots into an enjoyable experience for clients. My shoot process is designed to support and inspire you, and also keep things running smoothly- you can feel confident you’re in a safe pair of hands. Whether it’s your first time commissioning a professional photographer or you’ve done this for years, I will meet you where you are with a wealth of ideas and a lot of practical professionalism honed from years in the corporate world to deliver imagery that really works for you.
