Business is a rollercoaster…

…apparently you’ve just gotta ride it, or something?

I’m really feeling the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial rollercoaster at the moment and it seems as though many of you are as well.

The ebbs are ebbing and the flow is kind of flowing? But what I do know is that I’d quite like to get off for a second before I throw up.

The shit bits need to be discussed more often. The trouble is, the wins are shared abundantly yet rarely any space is held online for those who need help but don’t know how to ask for it.

Community is queen

The solution to the loneliness you’re feeling right now is to find your people. The ones who see you when you’re at the bottom and clap when you’re at the top.

I always wanted Wild to be safe space, somewhere for you to be vulnerable and know you’ll be met with grace, understanding and a whole heap of other business owners who are right there with you, or have been there only recently. But it’s gone beyond that; it’s now a haven for stressed out business owners.

I hurtle towards the bottom of the rollercoaster maybe three times a year. The last time it happened I spent a long time chatting to my dad about how the government in this country are screwing small businesses big time. I cried, a lot. He told me I must never ever give up, that I can rest, but never give up.

So I’d like to share that with you today.

Rest? Yes. Give up? No, never.
