A magical coworking popup in Frome.
There are a few words that I would use to describe our recent coworking popup in Frome:
Unexpected, magical and… cheese.
When we closed in March 2020 I had no idea what would happen to Wild. We went from hotdesking space to virtual network in 24 hours and I generally stabbed around in the dark hoping I was getting something right along the way.
It was a dream of mine to get everyone in a room together once again, to work alongside each other to get shit done. I knew how powerful coworking in person can be and that it’s an important part of what Wild stands for - community and connection.
So planning it for my favourite time of year when the sky is blue and the air is crisp felt like the best way to bring in-person coworking back with a bang.
As people started to arrive through the door it immediately felt like we’d never left, welcoming new faces along with our loyal founding members felt delicious.
Watching people meet each other for the first time and realise they had a lot in common, or had solutions for each other’s challenges reaffirmed that Wild Coworking is and will always be the constant in an ever changing landscape. When we’re faced with uncertainty you can depend on Wild to be there, to anchor you to a place of stability. Somewhere to come for support, to find work, inspiration and generally a group of like-minded people who start off as business associates and quickly turn into friends.
We each had a lunchbox - this is the vegan option.
Then lunch arrived and it was break time, something we so often forget to prioritise as self employed people working from home alone, so it was nice to be able to close the laptop and chat to our coworking neighbours.
It was lovely to see and I can’t wait to do it again. We’re planning another in Frome and we’re desperate to do one in Bristol soon - drop me a line if you have a space that we could use for a day! hello@wildcoworking.com
