Wild is six years old…

HOW?!

Here’s a fun little story for you:

ID:

Slide one: Hi! It’s me, Jess - Founder of Wild Coworking and this, is our story... [photo of Jess side eyeing and smiling at the camera]

Slide two: I started Wild in 2019 because I was hella lonely working for myself by myself, but I was also pretty pissed off when I found out that only 1 in 3 entrepreneurs in the UK is a woman.*

Wild Coworking 1.0 was born. It started life as a micro coworking space in Frome, Somerset. My mission was to nurture an environment where ALL women and NB could come to work and feel safe, valued, never underestimated and part of a community. *Rose Report 2019

Slide three: Oh our old branding is so cute! I made it myself. [image of old branding]

Slide four: Covid came along one week after we celebrated our first birthday. Shout out to the Founding members who are still with us today! [photo of a group of people smiling at the camera with Jess in the centre holding a cake for Wild’s first birthday]

Slide five: It shut us down, we attempted to reopen but Boris Johnson faffed about for too long so I decided to make us virtual. [photo of alcohol gel in the background]

Slide six: With our objectives firmly rooted in community and changing the business landscape for women and non-binary people, I knew Wild had to continue to exist. [photo of a woman giving a presentation with another woman in the foreground with a baby in a carrier]

Slide seven: So we started coworking online.

This is the first ever virtual coworking session in 2020 - nobody turned up! Apart from me and Rodi dog. [photo of Jess on zoom with a sad face and the dog in the background]

Slide eight: Once lockdowns began lifting in 2021 we met IRL. [Photo of a big group of people sitting down and chatting drinking tea]

Slide nine: We had Christmas parties in cool places just as we do now because yes please to all of the fun and joy, many thanks. [photo of a mansion house with a drive leading up to it]

Slide ten: Fast forward to 2025 and Wild has welcomed hundreds of members, we’ve worked together online for hours, gathered in rooms to discuss business but also stationery and the big life stuff too. We’ve hosted retreats, coworking days, hundreds of virtual coworking sessions. I’ve launched two group series to help you market your own business. [photo in background of a group of people sat chatting around tables]

Slide 11: Since the very beginning I’ve wanted Wild to always be there for you when you need it.

A safe space for you to be completely yourself. [image of Jess’ hand holding a phone showing the community portal]

Slide 12: Community is our only hope in the face of adversity, so I will do everything I can to protect it. [photo of members in the forest waving at the camera]

Slide 13: That means I grow and adapt Wild to ensure it gives you everything you need and more. And I always will. [black and white photo of Jess sitting down and smiling looking off camera]
