Why crypto is a feminist issue.
Remember when, as women, we couldn’t have a bank account in our own name until the late 70s? And how we can’t believe how little control we had over our own money until very recently? Well we’re at risk of being in the same situation with a different currency: crypto.
We have included a crypto workshop in our lineup of events this month because it is very much a feminist issue.
Cryptocurrency is a 21st century financial instrument with a very 20th century problem: not enough women. Twice as many men as women invest in cryptocurrency (16% of men vs. 7% of women), according to CNBC and Acorn’s Invest in You: Next Gen Investor survey, conducted in partnership with Momentive
Whether we like it or not, and especially as business owners, crypto will be a part of our future.
Right now I’m not that interested in investing, rather I am adamant not to be left behind, which means I must educate myself. So, this is why we have this workshop on the 28 September at 7.30pm, hosted by Tanisha, the Founder of Female Crypto Club. Tickets for non-members are £15 recording only and £35 for full attendance and £15 for members.
I hope you’ll join us for this beginners introduction to crypto, what the risks are and where to start.
