The Business Show & Working From Home Live

The Business Show and Working From Home Live (16th & 17th November, London ExCel) are co-located events that help businesses to grow, develop, and implement flexible working patterns and wellbeing strategies. This also applies to people who are self-employed and want to make their business successful while adapting to the future of remote and hybrid working. Here’s how to make the most out of each show as a self-employed person:

The Business Show

The Business Show was launched to help aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners start or grow their businesses, giving them the knowledge, tools, and opportunity to fast-track their path to success. The show also provides you with a platform to network with other like-minded individuals and find products and resources that can add value or efficiency to your career.

Here’s a recap of last year’s event.

With keynotes from some of the biggest companies in the world such as Google, TikTok, and Meta, and former dragon Piers Linney, billionaire businessman Mark Dixon, and winner of The Apprentice 2022 Harpreet Kaur, this is an unmissable event. Over 750 exhibitors are in attendance to offer their services to businesses looking to expand and become more successful, and 200 incredible seminars are running with experts in the industry delivering exciting talks on all areas of business. The show also hosts 200 completely free, expert-led, interactive masterclasses from industry giants like Santander, Dell, and The UK Export Academy from The Department for International Trade. No matter your experience, there will be something new for you to learn this November. The self-employed can take this opportunity to gather new skills and resources to further build their career today.

Working From Home Live

Working From Home Live is helping to shape the future of remote and hybrid working. Adapting with the times post-covid and embracing employee engagement and wellbeing strategies, the show is an opportunity for you to re-evaluate how you work and what you could implement to improve your productivity as well as your mental health. All is well to work independently and grow your business, but this frequently leads to burnout when you are your sole employee.

Many people who are self-employed don’t often require their own office or need to rent space out, they are therefore almost permanently working remotely. It’s important then to invest in products and services that make your home-working life as efficient and comfortable as possible. This may include talking to exhibitors at the show who specialise in ergonomic furniture, software, cybersecurity, or even mental health training. For example, one of our exhibitors Calmer is a global award-winning training organisation for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and business teams. They provide courses, webinars, and digital products to help people address their mental health and feel empowered in their work-life. There are also such exhibitors as Dnomr and Hiwell which are online platforms to assist with mental health and provide professional support. The self-employed will therefore find Working From Home Live to be incredibly helpful to building their career and also nurturing their mental health along the way.

The Business Show and Working From Home Live this November 16th and 17th at the ExCeL in London.
